California Fresh Fig Season is Here!
Who's ready for some fig-tastic news? The California Fresh Fig season is officially underway! Now through November, look for plump and delicious California Fresh Figs available at most major grocery retailers. When you see them, buy them! These tiny treasures go quick and for good reason. They are delicious and nutritious! Here are some fig nutrition facts to pass along:
  • California Figs are a good source of dietary fiber. Just three to five figs – dried or fresh – provide five grams of dietary fiber or 20% of the Daily Value.
  • California Figs are fat, sodium and cholesterol free.
  • California Figs outrank most fruits when comparing calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, manganese, and other important nutritional components.
  • California Figs are rich in phytonutrients, natural compounds found in plants, which may boost immunity, slow aging and prevent or reduce the risk for chronic diseases.
  • California Figs are naturally sweet. No added sugar needed!

A Variety of Reasons to LOVE California Fresh Figs!
